CLASS REUNIONS and NEWS about Alumni
The purpose of this website is to provide a FREE and SAFE place for All older Center Line
and St Clement Classes to display announcements about get togethers, reunions and Alumni.
It is FREE and SAFE because I do not sell or give out your email addresses or phone numbers.
I am old Center Line historian Wesley E. Arnold CLHS62 and author of 136 books on Center Line and Warren history, who is fed up with commercial web sites because many rip us off, do not protect our information and some who charge outrageous prices and won't let you post announcements. Old Professor Wesley E Arnold author of many books on Center Line history is writing a class history of classes 1960-1964 answering the question "What happened with the Kids we went to school with?" and "What are their accomplishments?" This will be going to Library of Congress along with his 20 book Who's Who of Center Line History in which all CLHS graduates can place their autobiography so that their great great grand children will be able to read their life story. Note that most families do not have any written history on their family members so this is a wonderful free opportunity. Send him your autobiography and family history or be forgotten. Send to firstname.lastname@example.org He is also doing a study to find accomplishments of 1960-1964 class members and so far has found over 700 alive, 200 dead, some in nursing homes, 630 spouse names, city and state locations on 729 many fone numbers (but only 1 in 20 will return your call even if you leave them a message saying you are an old clasmate and not selling anything) so fones are useless for this age group. He also has found several hundred emails but again very few even respond if you send them one. So emails are almost useless except for the very few who respond. Conclusion many don't care. How sad. But Many do care and that has making new friends from old schoolates worthwhile so I will publish their history in a real history book that their great great grand children can see which is a great and rare thing. Why is this rare? Because when I researched our local Center Line cemetery out of 6,000 buried there, there less than 50 who you can find their life story, because families don't take even a few minutes to record their history. But I do because I care. Professor Wesley E Arnold. My books are free on http://dogoodforall.today or are at 99 cents on amazon.com

THIS WAS A GREAT SUCCESS OVER 40 SHOWED UP FOR A GREAT TIME AND HAPPY CONVERSATION WOTH FOLKS WE HAD NOT SEEN IN MANY YEARS. WE FELT LIKE WE MADE NEW FRIENDS.
Just got back from it Not very many from CLHS I was saddened when the host stopped me from giving another person info on free scholarships for their grandchildren. (That is one thing I do as a college professor that really helps people besides teaching) But we had already paid the $60 they demanded for pizza, salad and diet Coke. So we left early mostly because the so called music (from a boom box) was so loud we had trouble hearing one another. Come to think of it that was the same problem we had had at some past reunions. We could not visit with our classmates because the band was so loud we had to shout to hear each other. Why is it that the bands now days have to play so loud? Events I host are free and with soft music so people can visit. 😃

This one turned out to be a success with great food, and much socializing from many class members from many years. Amazing: 20 classmates showed up and had a good time, even though it had only been announced three weeks earlier. We heard from Rocky our Center Line Movie Star who was in many films.

If someone wants to contact you but they don't have your email they can send an email to me.
I then send you their email and you decide whether or not to email them. Your phone and email are absolutely protected.
As Center Line historian for 50 years I have been building a huge list (at 1,600 names now) of CLHS and St Clement Class members for many years and have much information. But a few have moved, don't use email, have unlisted numbers, and married unknowns. Many others are probably dead and sadly forgotten. A few folks have refused to share anything about themselves even as little as are they still alive and such non harmful things as what did they did in life(occupation) and what state they moved to. I am not after more than that. I need your help to collect just a little general information on our classmate unknowns. The biggie is just to somehow contact them.
Other friendly class members share interesting life stories which since my history book is going to Library of Congress, their great, great, great grandchildren will be able to read. Most people have told me that reading "What Happened to the Kids We Went to School With" was worth seeing, and particularly reading about the accomplishments of our class members.
If you desire to have a full autobiography go to Library of Congress send it to me and it will be placed in my big Center Line Who's Who series of books. Those people who don't want to be remembered by their classmates or their great, great grandchildren will become part of the great majority of forgotten ones. As a historian I have indexed and researched 7 cemeteries which are full of hundreds of forgottens and unknowns because no one bothered to even jot down a few facts about their lives. I offer everyone the opportunity and it is up to them.
Find out what happened to the kids we went to school with.
Accomplishments, History and Location of Center Line High School Classmates 1960-1964 Shocking, surprising and you are probably in it. This is a book going to Library of Congress will be over 100 pages. Here are the first 5 pages. This is a fantastic sociological study of almost every student in Center Line High School Classes 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964. It shows their Names, class, who they married, if they are still alive, or dead, year of death if known, obituary if I have it, and their stories if known, THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS SOME BECAME DOCTORS, SOME ENGINEERS, SOME SAVED LIVES, SOME WORKED IN FACTORIES, SOME COMMITTED SUICIDE, some were murdered, some of us killed others, one of us visited John Norman Collens who is a St Clement class member who is a convicted murderer, SOME WERE KILLED BY ACCIDENTS, SOME DIED OF CANCER, SOME BECAME TEACHERS AND COLLEGE PROFESSORS, ONE OF THEM WROTE THIS BOOK ALONG WITH 150 MORE BOOKS, some ended up in nursing homes, some continued to be stuck up and looked down on other class members (the compiler of the book felt he was at the bottom looking up and always thought he was slow but it was probably a memory disorder made it extra harder to do Doctoral work.) It is an interesting story I am compiling about all of my classmates. I avoid all putdowns because you are my brothers and sisters of Center Line which is a snapshot of the 1940s-2040. Most of us won't make it to 2040. I wish to avoid lawsuits so the book is censored from the public. If you want to see what I have compiled on you just email me. In that way you can find out and your privacy is absolutely protected. As a college professor who teaches Technology I am still a believer in privacy. But these classmates great, great grandkids will have a treasure because most families don't write down any history. Plus I offer the option of you adding your autobiography to this. Just send it to me by email not by letter because I don't have time to type it. Also you can also choose to be put in my Who's Who 25 Book series of Center Line and Warren if you wish, which is also going to Library of Congress.

We are looking for a place to hold get togethers since Hometown Heroes has closed. We can hold mini reunions even with just a few people. Haneys (586) 757 5080 appears to offer the most benefits because: Haneys has no cover charge, just order a coffee, there is no rental fee, now has a beautiful floral display all around the building, Lots of free parking, They can seat 1 to over 110 people, No caterer to hire, if we choose to go when they already have a cook such as when they are open, we can have a full menu. Fridays are great as they are open all day til 8 PM. And they are very slow after 1PM (good for us). They can accommodate any day of the week almost any time if we have over at least 33 people committed.
Sandbaggers only has 10 tables on east end and another 10 at the other end. Their floor is not level and if you come in from daylight YOU CAN EASILY FALL because of their unmarked and unlit step down in the middle of their hall WHICH IS USUALLY QUITE DARK. I have seen people fall.
There are several halls but we would have to rent them and have food catered. Center Line hall choices are K of C, Emerald or Balkan (the old A & P) or a local church (which might be the least rental fee) and might also work for a pot luck.
Victory Inn has also been suggested. We have to check it out.
PLEASE SEND ME CONTACT INFORMATION ON ANY 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1965 CLHS CLASS MEMBERS SO I CAN AT LEAST TELL THEM ABOUT THESE EVENTS. I am compiling information on all class members of all classes in Center Line. Please send me your class email lists. These will be kept confidential. I get cussed out once a month because I won't release emails and phone numbers because I insist on protecting my classmates privacy.
Please send me obituaries so I can respectfully post them. Otherwise class members often don't find out until years later.

Our American Heritage is the Golden Rule practiced by most Americans for over 200 years.
For too long we have been complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members Congress could retire with same pay after only one term and they specifically exempted themselves from many laws passed while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest was to Healthcare Reform ... in all its forms. So the elite are above law.
